We've seen a busier than expected start to 2018! The new mortgage rules and stress test do not appear to have impacted many buyers, so it's looking to be another active year in Real Estate! Rising interest rates and stricter mortgage requirements have reduced home buyers' purchasing power, but the supply of apartment and townhomes is still unable to meet demand. And there's no doubt that the new SkyTrain in Port Moody and Coquitlam will continue to bring more buyers from Vancouver and the Northshore out to the Tri-Cities.
As a Seller, the main thing to keep in mind is that pricing needs to reflect the current market - you can ask whatever price you want, but the Buyers will determine what your home is worth. So, all that to say, if you're serious about selling your home this year, and you're willing to list at a reasonable price...it will probably sell.
